Join us at the yuuvis® hackathon to build smart content management and services-adjacent solutions. With yuuvis® you get foundational APIs including rendition services, data and metadata extraction, business process management, and elasticsearch. Use any or all of these, any way you want.
Businesses generate an enormous number of documents, videos, emails, spreadsheets – content of all kinds –every day. Even with all of the solutions out there, the struggle to structure, compliantly manage and easily find just the right snippet of content is real.
Create your own solution around one of the three challenge areas. Add any REST API-compatible technology to complete your vision: AI/machine learning, messenger services, document editing tools – your imagination is the limit.
If you’ve been frustrated at the lack of intelligence for content management, this hackathon’s for you!
Your projects will be judged on innovation, creativity and use of technology. How can you integrate AI/ML and other disruptive technologies?
How forward-thinking and future-proof is the vision/idea behind your solution? Judges will be interested in creative use cases grounded in the real world.

Projects must focus on one of challenge areas:
1. Sharing & Collaboration
Envision new ways to share information beyond the whole document - a messenger stream, one clip within a video, mail content that was archived. Imagine next-generation collaboration combining the yuuvis document management APIs and communication tools like Slack, G-Suite components or Microsoft Office 365.
Envision new or faster and more efficient ways for archiving information such as emails, documents, videos, streams and others. Use the power of AI and Machine Learning to extract metadata from diverse data sets. For example, use object recognition to tag a video sequence frame by frame and find a way to do this in a scalable and timely way. When you do, keep regulatory constraints in mind.
Use your imagination to create any content/document-centric solution you can think of using yuuvis core APIs and 3rd party code and technology. In this category, creativity is your key to success. You might invent the next business workflow, enhance the underlying structure service, utilize the powerful SQL query capability from the yuuvis framework to improve the user experience, learn about the yuuvis structure service and enhance it with AI to make it adapt to your needs -- or anything else you can imagine.

Workshop + Networking

The evening before the 2 Day Hackathon, there will be a Workshop + Networking event. Registrants will have the opportunity to attend a workshop led by James and Kolja, of yuuvis®, and have the chance to meet the mentors and fellow registrants. It’s a great opportunity to network and form teams - even start brainstorming about your project!
